UDAIPUR, April 21 — In celebration of Earth Day, the Green People Society, an organization dedicated to bird and environmental conservation in South Rajasthan, will host a special workshop on Tuesday. The event aims to raise awareness about wildlife protection and sustainable ecological practices.

The workshop will be held at the Aranya Bhavan auditorium from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, featuring distinguished ornithologist Dr. Rajat Bhargava from the Bombay Natural History Society as the keynote speaker.

Debate on Peacock Feather Trade Takes Center Stage

Dr. Bhargava will deliver an insightful talk titled “The Trade and Use of Peacock Feathers in India: Should We Ban or Regulate?” The session will explore the ethical, environmental, and legal implications of the peacock feather trade, stimulating dialogue among conservationists, researchers, and policy enthusiasts.

The president of Green People Society, Rahul Bhatnagar, stated that the workshop is part of their broader mission to engage the public in meaningful discussions on biodiversity and to encourage responsible environmental behavior.
