BHOPAL: Four Indore residents died and eight others were injured when a pickup carrying 'baraatis' overturned in MP's Vidisha on Thursday. One of the survivors remains critical. The groom's sister, brother-in-law and two cousins were among the deceased.
At least 34 wedding guests have been killed in accidents in MP in the past three weeks.
Thursday's accident occurred in Madagan area of Sironj . Around 35 guests were travelling from Aulikheda to Sironj in two pickups and a car. While returning, the pickup vehicle carrying 16 people went out of control at a sharp curve and overturned.
CM Mohan Yadav announced an assistance of Rs 2 lakh for the kin of the deceased & Rs 50,000 for the injured.
