NEW DELHI: Comedian Kapil Sharma’s newly launched restaurant, KAP'S CAFE, came under gunfire late Wednesday night in Surrey, Canada.
Preliminary reports indicate that multiple rounds were fired at the premises, though no injuries have been reported, according to multiple TV reports.
Authorities swiftly sealed off the area, and an investigation is currently under way.
A BKI activist has taken responsibility, stating that some comments were made about the outfit of Nihang Singhs by Kapil in the past.
KAP'S CAFE had only recently opened and was quickly becoming a popular spot among the Indian diaspora in Canada. As of now, Kapil Sharma has not issued any public statement on the incident.
