WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque recently opened up about his relationship with Vince McMahon, who after a long association with WWE, had to leave WWE in January 2024. The Game revealed some interesting backstage details about his work experience with Vince McMahon and how he has been a mentor to him.

He also explained how scripts were provided and discussed with him before matches and what happened between him and his father-in-law when he was in charge of NXT . Triple H revealed the details while speaking on the High Performance podcast.

In the podcast, the WWE CCO spoke about a lot of things, including his backstage relationship with Vince McMahon. Revealing the details, he said, “I wouldn't be where I am without Vince. He saw something in me that I had an interest creatively, and I think saw that I was pretty decent at it right. This is long before I ever met my wife, I didn't even know at that point, I knew he had a daughter but I'd never met her, I had anything right nothing to do with that, so I start getting involved with him creatively very quickly, we get this creative rapport…”

He also shared about how Vince and The Game often discussed the creative shows and scripts of WWE, and that Vince had always consulted with him about the creative projects related to the company.

Besides, Triple H has also shared how things "bothered" him, especially when he was booking NXT under Vince McMahon, and they had different perspectives on shows. He further opened up that the ex-WWE Chief became more controlling and dominant over time as he got older.

Triple H said, “There were things that bothered me about the way he did things, certain things of his personality. He would run things totally different than I would, and we've talked about that before. Even when I was running NXT or this, he would be like, 'Why you do it like that?' And I'd be like, 'Because it's working for me.' And he would be like, 'Well, I don't.' He was much more controlling, especially as he got older, much more controlling.”
