Jaipur: With the first of the five IPL matches set to be played at Sawai Man Singh Stadium Sunday, there will be restrictions on vehicular traffic on roads adjacent to the stadium during the day, the traffic department said Saturday.
As Rajasthan Royals will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore , only people possessing valid entry tickets to the stadium will be permitted access to the peripheral roads. "There will be restrictions on normal traffic movement on several roads adjacent to the stadium due to the IPL match Sunday. The restrictions will be enforced from 2pm till the match commences and for 30 to 45 minutes after the match ends. Only spectators proceeding towards the stadium will be permitted on these roads," said a traffic department official. Motorists have been requested to cooperate with police officials and utilise the alternative routes for the day. As per the arrangements, vehicles approaching from the Laxmi Mandir Tiraha side on Tonk Road will be diverted from Gandhi Nagar Tiraha towards Gandhi Circle and JLN Marg. Likewise, vehicles approaching from Prithviraj Road Tiraha towards Rambagh Circle will be diverted from Narayan Singh Circle towards Trimurti Circle and JLN Marg. Vehicles from Sahakar Marg will be restricted from reaching Vidhan Sabha Tiraha.
All roadways and long-distance buses will reach Sindhi Camp bus stand via Prithviraj Road, Statue Circle and Chomu House Road. Roadways buses will not be permitted to use the Rambagh Circle. Heavy vehicles will not be allowed within city limits till the match concludes, said officials.
