The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode has officially released the CAT 2025 notification through leading national dailies, marking the start of the annual admission cycle for India’s most competitive MBA entrance exam. The Common Admission Test (CAT 2025) will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2025, and the registration portal will go live on August 1 at iimcat.ac.in.

CAT 2025 will be conducted in three computer-based sessions across nearly 170 test cities. Candidates can select up to five preferred cities while filling out the application. The test will assess candidates on Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, and Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning. The detailed information bulletin, including the syllabus, exam pattern, and marking scheme, will soon be available on the CAT official website.

Payment can be made online via credit/debit cards, UPI, or net banking during registration.

Candidates must upload the following documents in prescribed format and size:
- Class 10 & 12 mark sheets
- Graduation certificate or latest semester result
- Work experience certificates (if applicable)
- Valid government-issued photo ID
- Recent passport-size photograph and scanned signature
- Caste or PwD certificate (if applicable)
- Final-year students: Certificate from college/institution
The CAT exam is a crucial requirement for admission to MBA and PGDM programmes at the IIMs and over 100 leading B-schools across India, including renowned institutions like FMS Delhi, MDI Gurgaon, SPJIMR Mumbai, and IMT Ghaziabad. Final-year undergraduate students and working professionals aiming for a management career in India are strongly encouraged to apply.

While CAT 2025 scores form the first shortlisting step, final selection at IIMs and other institutes will also include:
- Written Ability Test (WAT)
- Group Discussions (GD)
- Personal Interviews (PI)
- Academic background and work experience evaluation
Each IIM will release its own selection criteria post result declaration.
