Ukrainian forces have destroyed a Russian fuel train in a major attack behind enemy lines in the south of the country, according to pro-Ukrainian sources. The "unique" attack on the logistics train was carried out in occupied Zaporizhzhia.
Head of the Centre for the Study of Occupation, Petro Andryushchenko, said "nothing alive was left". He wrote on Telegram: "Who asked why the Russians were hauling fuel and cars at night? That's why. To avoid such losses. It didn't work. A unique operation by the Defence Forces of Ukraine."
Images shared online show the huge train burning in several places.
There has been no official comment from Ukraine or Russia as it stands.
The train was reportedly derailed in the attack, which was carried out between Urozhayny and Tokmak in the Zaporizhzhia region, southern Ukraine.
It is not clear how the attack was launched.
Ukraine has had several successes in operations deep behind enemy lines, most notably in June when more than 100 Ukrainian drones struck air bases deep inside Russia.
The daring operation, dubbed Spider's Web, took more than 18 months to plan, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
This latest attack comes a day after Russian missile strikes killed three and injured 20 in Zaporizhzhia City.
Russian forces control significant areas of Zaporizhzhia, and Vladimir Putin reportedly told Donald Trump he is prepared to freeze the frontline there and in Kherson, in exchange for Ukraine withdrawing from the Donetsk and Luhansk regions that make up the Donbas.
The two leaders met for talks at a summit in Alaska on Friday, which Mr Trump described as "productive", although no deal was reached on ending the war.
US special envoy Steve Witkoff later confirmed the Russian President agreed the US and its European allies could offer Ukraine a security guarantee, akin to NATO's collective defence Article 5, as part of an eventual peace deal.
Mr Trump welcomed European leaders, including Mr Zelensky and Sir Keir Starmer, to the White House on Monday for further discussions on the war.
He affirmed America would back European security guarantees aimed at preventing Moscow from reinvading Ukraine.
Mr Trump said the US would provide Ukraine with a "very good security guarantee" but European countries would be the "first line of defence".
The White House is now working on a face-to-face meeting between Mr Putin and Mr Zelensky.
Overnight, Russia launched 270 drones and 10 missiles at Ukraine, Kyiv's air force said.
Ukrainian air defences downed an estimated 230 drones and six missiles, with strikes recorded at 16 locations.
