According to , the pair began arguing at a house on the south side of the city when things took an unexpected turn. Police in San Antonio later confirmed that authorities were dispatched to a shooting in progress at around 7 p.m. When they arrived, they found Joss lying "near the roadway." Paramedics attempted "life saving measures" while waiting for EMS, but Joss was pronounced dead at the scene.
