During the electrifying Tudum 2025 live event on 31 May, Netflix unleashed a slew of new previews for hotly-anticipated series like Squid Game and Stranger Things, alongside a spellbinding six-minute teaser of Wednesday.
This tantalising snippet sees Jenna Ortega reprising her enigmatic role as Wednesday Addams, launching off with her deadpan passage through airport security.
But soon the mood shifts to a more sinister vibe as we glimpse her restrained by the infamous Kansas City Scalper - only to discover it's all part of her cunning ploy.
The clip culminates with Wednesday striding knife in hand towards the petrified killer, reports .
Season 2 already hints at a much "darker" journey according to fans, who have been lighting up the video's comments.
A comment read: "I am glad they're adding more Horror and backstory this season. This is about to be peak."
Another fan couldn't contain their excitement: "Man Wednesday going to Kansas City to hunt down a serial killer has got me HYPED!"

Meanwhile, some particularly observant viewers spotted that the serial killer is portrayed none other than Haley Joel Osment, who has dramatically transformed since his child star days as Cole Sear in M. Night Shyamalan's The Sixth Sense, an undisputed classic in horror cinema.
One eagle-eyed viewer pointed out: "To those who don't recognize: The serial killer = Haley Joel Osment = Cole Sear, the kid from The Sixth Sense.

In a thrilling update, Netflix has confirmed that Lady Gaga will join the cast for season 2, alongside other notable additions such as Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Lumley, and Thandiwe Newton.
The first half of Wednesday season 2 will hit Netflix on August 6, while the second batch of episodes will arrive on September 3.
