MasterChef is back on BBC One, with a new series featuring Gregg Wallace and John Torode-despite both presenters being sacked before it aired. The show was filmed prior to their departures, which followed a misconduct investigation that upheld multiple complaints. Wallace faced over 40 allegations, including inappropriate behaviour and unwelcome physical contact, while Torode was accused of using a racist slur during filming in 2018. Although both denied the most serious claims, the BBC confirmed their exits last month. The current series will continue to air as planned, with the broadcaster citing fairness to the amateur chefs involved.
