Netflix enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the release of a new romantic comedy, following the unveiling of a "hilarious" trailer featuring a host of stars.
The Wrong Paris features Miranda Cosgrove, best known for her role in iCarly, as Dawn, a woman with dreams of moving to Paris, France, to attend art school. Despite being accepted, she grapples with financial difficulties that threaten her plans.
In a twist of fate, she stumbles upon a chance to audition for a dating show named The Honey Pot, which she mistakenly believes is filmed in the French capital. However, after securing a place on the show, she discovers it's actually set in Paris, Texas.
Despite the initial disappointment, things take a turn when she recognises the show's horse-riding bachelor Trey McAllen, played by Dope Queen star Pierson Fode.
The official synopsis reveals: "A young woman (Miranda Cosgrove) joins a dating show thinking it's in Paris, France, but it's actually in Paris, Texas. She plots a way to get eliminated until her unexpected feelings for the bachelor (Pierson Fode) complicate her plans.", reports the Mirror.
Joining Cosgrove and Fode in the cast are Yvonne Orji, known for Pop the Balloon Live and Insecure, and Madison Pettis from He's All That and The Game Plan.
The first trailer for the film, due to be released on 12 September, was posted on Netflix's official social media platforms this week, sparking a flurry of excited comments from fans.

"This is either gonna be the worst or best thing I've ever seen and I can't tell which yet," one person mused, while another eager fan exclaimed: "That plot twist sounds hilarious. Miranda Cosgrove in a rom-com with a mix-up like that? Definitely adding The Wrong Paris to the watchlist."
"Miranda Cosgrove the people princess and Netflix's new sweetheart! O can't wait to see her shining on my screen again [sic]," declared a third admirer of the streaming platform's latest star.
A fourth simply put it: "I can't wait," and an iCarly enthusiast made their plea clear: "What about the iCarly movie? #saveiCarly".
The Wrong Paris premieres on Netflix on September 12
