An Educating Yorkshire star was "pronounced dead" after a horror accident that left her fighting for her life. In the next episode of the show, which airs every Sunday on Channel 4, a young pupil spoke about her experiences with anxiety that all stemmed from a tragic accident in her early childhood.
Opening up to a teacher as the cameras returned to Dewsbury's Thornhill Community Academy, the student explained: "I was eight. I was playing hide and seek and I fell through a railing on a balcony. They pronounced me dead, because I wasn't breathing and there was no sign of a pulse in me."
Before her Geography exam, the same pupil worried she would "actually die", as her teacher reassured her: "OK. So, one thing we're not going to do, we're not going to get overwhelmed if I'm going. Because, you've absolutely got it. You can absolutely do it.
"We just need to be positive, whatever is on that paper is on that paper. But, you worrying about what it's going to be is not going to benefit you.
"Because you absolutely can do it."
Over the years, we've lost some of Educating Yorkshire's stars, including teaching assistant Sandra Morgan who helped thousands of students in her career at TCA.

She sadly died in 2020, with her co-star and fellow teacher Mr Burton saying: "Mrs Morgan was a much-loved, respected and highly skilled Educational Teaching Assistant, and she dedicated her career to ensuring that our most vulnerable students were helped to achieve well, supported to understand more, and, above all, to be happy.
"She would always have a smile and a kind word for anyone, and had a selfless personality.
"In short, she was a wonderful human being, and we will miss her greatly."
