Downton Abbey 3, now titled : The Grand Finale, is heartbreakingly set to be the last movie in the film and TV period drama.
Taking place in 1930, our best bet is that the film will see the stately home's future in serious jeopardy after the 1929 Wall Street Crash.
No doubt, Hugh Bonneville's Lord Grantham and co will come up with some plan to save the pile by the end credits.
Set to hit cinemas this autumn, we are still awaiting the trailer, which screened for a lucky few at Cinema Con in Las Vegas earlier this month.
According to , the trailer was as follows: "Begins on a horse track with a shot of the Crawleys. Carson announces, 'Welcome to 1930.' We see Lady Mary and Edith a few times. Then, one by one, each of the original cast returns to Downton Abbey, with Lady Mary dressed in all red. Several shots of parties and everyone celebrating. It ends with Robert kissing his hand and then placing it on the side of the Abbey."
The reporter added: "I'm predicting plenty of tears will be shed."
Downton Abbey is released in cinemas on September 12, 2025.
