Sharvari Wagh, known for her role in the YRF Spy Universe film "Alpha" alongside Alia Bhatt and Bobby Deol, has started shooting for her next film directed by acclaimed filmmaker Imtiaz Ali. The film, which began production on the auspicious day of Dussehra (October 2, 2025), features Vedang Raina as her co-star. Vedang is a young, emerging actor who has previously appeared in projects like Zoya Akhtar’s "The Archies" and the action thriller "Jigra."
Sharvari shared an emotional post on social media explaining that she couldn't return home for Saraswati Puja due to shooting but performed a small puja at her location with the film's script, which she decorated with fresh hibiscus flowers, wishing her fans Happy Dussehra and Vijayadashami.
The film is described as a period love story set against the backdrop of India’s Partition, exploring themes of love, longing, and migration. Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah also stars in the movie, which is currently untitled but is officially announced and awaited with excitement. Sharvari expressed that working with Imtiaz Ali has been a long-held dream, making the project very special for her.
This new project comes after Sharvari’s well-received debut in "Bunty Aur Babli 2" and her promising role in the upcoming "Alpha." Fans are eagerly looking forward to her performance alongside the new talent Vedang Raina under Imtiaz Ali’s direction.
