There will be a very special guest on 's forthcoming tour, her adorable little girl - and she's got a job to do. The Fireworks singer, 40, is hitting the road for the 84-date The Lifetimes Tour which kicks off in Mexico later this month, arriving in the UK in October. It's the first time she's toured since becoming a mum, and she admitted she has some apprehensions.

She said: “Before she starts kindergarten, she will be joining me for some dates and she loves it. She wants to go on stage and I’m like, ‘No, baby’.”

However, Katy did recently show how little Daisy Dove, who she shares with Hollywood hunk Orlando Bloom, 48, can get involved when mum's at work. She posted some photos Daisy took of her preparing for the tour to which showed a surprisingly good eye.

In one shot, Katy is holding a mic as she clocks up the steps on a walking pad. Others are artfully framed, using a careful balance of texture and perspective. In fact, the photos were of such a high standard that fans asked, "Are you sure Daisy took these they look too professional?"

Katy told that being a mum made her decide to start her shows earlier. “It’s like again when you get to see it through a child’s eyes,” she said. “There’s so much light and joy and hope.

"One thing I will be implementing is an earlier showtime because now I feel for all the mothers that I put through when I started my show at 9:15.”

With the promo trail for her new tour in full swing, Katy has been telling the world how much she adores being a mum, reports .

She said: “Some people have pets and are like, ‘This is my soulmate’. So why limit it to one partner or human?

“Obviously, Orlando is my partner and I love him so much, but there is definitely something that happens — the mother-child connection.

“You connected them with your cells, they are literally half of your cells or maybe more, I don’t know.

“But I feel so happy and whole. You know when you fall in love with someone for the very first time and you are in that phase of sleeping under their nose breath and you are like, ‘I want this so much’. That never ends with a child.”

Katy also confessed that she is hopeful that she can strike the right balance between performing, promo and parenting.

“I’ve been making a record but raising a human and focusing on that," she said.

“I feel her emotional foundation is pretty set, so I can go out into the world and do my thing again. I’m probably not going to get it right. I’m going to be like every parent that just tries. Even if I only have a couple of hours a day with her, I make sure they are super-present ones.”

Katy also revealed that she has inherited one of her lesser known talents, and isn't afraid to use it - they can both belch at will.

“I was with my daughter last night and she knows how to burp on command and so do I. She is totally my child. And for 30 minutes in bed she would not stop burping," Katy told one outlet.

“We were laughing our butts off and burped in each other’s faces for 30 minutes. Then I said, ‘Stop burping and go to bed’.”

Before Katy hits the stage, she has a date with space. , operated by Blue Origin’s NS-31.
