Singer-songwriter Jade Thirlwall made her return to TV this week with an appearance on a beloved show. She's now followed in the footsteps of numerous other celebrities by having fronted an episode of CBeebies Bedtime Stories.
The CBeebies show sees celebrities read to viewers and previous guests have included Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse, former EastEnders cast member Rose Ayling-Ellis, actor Tom Hardy and singer Dolly Parton. Jade's Little Mix bandmate Perrie Edwards has also been on the show.
Jade, 32, who rose to fame on the X Factor, was seen reading The Dress in the Window on tonight's episode. The Brit Award said that she had chosen the book, written by Robert Tregoning and illustrated by Pippa Curnick, herself.

Published in 2023, it follows a young boy who spots a sparkling dress in a shop window and hopes to buy it. Speaking about her decision, Jade said: "I love that it is about self-expression. It's about children being able to wear whatever they want and to not be afraid to completely be themselves."
At the start of the episode, Jade, who has appeared on various shows like the Assembly, told viewers: "Hello, I'm Jade! I love to sing and perform. I enjoy drawing and painting, and something else that I really love is choosing and wearing clothes that I am comfortable in, and that make me feel good when I wear them."
She went on to say: "Tonight's CBeebies Bedtime Story is about someone who loves clothes too. A little boy who spots something in a clothes shop that he would love to wear. This book is called the Dress in the Window."
It comes just a week after Jade's debut solo album, That's Showbiz Baby!, was released last Friday. The album is currently at number 3 on the Official Albums Chart in the UK and it's said to have achieved the biggest opening week for a debut album of 2025, according to the Official Charts Company.
Jade said that she was "overwhelmed" upon the release of the album, which includes tracks like Angel of My Dreams and Fantasy. She wrote about the project in a post on Instagram last week and expressed gratitude over the experience.
She said: "My debut album is finally out in the world. I'm a little overwhelmed right now and don't even know where to begin. Thank you to anyone who has played a part in this record and campaign. The list is endless and so is my gratitude.
"That's Showbiz Baby! is all the versions of myself in one record - my ups and downs in the music industry, navigating my personal relationships and inner demons within it. Pop girliness inspired by all of my musical influences growing up."
She concluded: "The biggest thank you to the writers, producers, vocal producers, mixers and masterers I've had the pleasure of working with on this record. You all helped me to rediscover myself and become a better writer and artist. I've made some beautiful friends during this process."
Jade's CBeebies Bedtime Story is available on BBC iPlayer.
