There appeared to be a sad split on Emmerdale on Wednesday just a day after a couple reunited. Ross Barton and Steph Miligan finally decided to give things another go this week after calling things off months earlier.
Steph had been in a bad place after the discovery about her parentage, and the secret murder of Anthony Fox, and she ended up ending things with Ross. Ross was gutted, but quickly moved on and slept with GP Manpreet Sharma.
Things turned bitter between them, while Steph's recent return after weeks away from the village led to the pair reuniting. It comes asit was revealed Steph would be leaving the ITV soap with actress Georgia Jay on maternity leave.

On Wednesday the pair were happy to be back together, packing on the PDA and telling Steph's dad Caleb Miligan all about their romance being back on. Her family were thrilled for her, believing she would finally be back on track.
But all it took was for a chat between Steph's mother Ruby Miligan and Manpeet for it all to come tumbling down. Ruby and Lewis Barton, Ross' brother, were being nosy about Manpreet's love life.
Trying to dig for details on if she was with anyone and who she last dated, they were stunned when she confessed to a recent one-night stand with a fellow villager. But neither of them were expecting the man in question to be Ross.
Manpreet didn't even try to hide their brief fling, which happened after Steph ended their romance months earlier. As Ross walked through the door Manpreet pulled a face of disgust, before telling Lewis and Ruby that he was the man she had slept with most recently.

Ruby was mortified as was Lewis, knowing full well he was now with Steph. Steph walked in with them and noticed immediately something had happened, and Ruby blurted out to a horrified Ross and Manpreet about her discovery.
There was no hiding it as Ross tried to defend it, claiming it was when they weren't together and that it "meant nothing". Manpreet took offence, and Steph told Ross that was it for them.
She made it clear that it wasn't him sleeping with Manpreet that was the issue, it was the fact he had lied about it and acted like there'd been no one else between their split and their reunion. He allowed Steph to think he had waited for her, meaning she put her full trust in him.
So to hear Ross jumped straight into bed with someone else and then lied to her face, instead of admitting it, she was very much done. Ross tried to speak with Steph later only for Ruby and Caleb to warn him off.
Steph shared that she could no longer trust him, suggesting they had no future and he'd ruined it. With Steph leaving the village soon, is this the sad twist that will lead to her fleeing?
