Gautam Hegde, the writer of the hit television show Miley Jab Hum Tum, recently underwent a spinal procedure after experiencing severe pain due to stiffness in his lower limbs. He was later informed that he needed to be hospitalised and undergo surgery, as a fracture had been detected in his spine between the L5 and S1 vertebrae.
On Saturday, Gautam shared a video from his hospital bed, revealing that he would be discharged the same day. He said that he has been advised to use a walker and a stick for some time and to rest at home for 6–8 weeks while undergoing physiotherapy. He expressed gratitude to his close actor friends — Sanaya Irani, Mohit Sehgal, Abhinav Shukla, Naman Shaw, and others — for being there for him.
Check out the video:
"This is my 4th admission in a hospital in 4 months and I really hope there’s no more of these because its tough to see parents at this age worried and helping out when it should be the other way around. Dua mein yaad rakhna. Love you all!" wrote Gautam in his caption.
Last month, Gautam revealed that he had suffered his second epileptic seizure in three months, after which his doctor advised him to get hospitalised.
Taking to his Instagram handle, he wrote, "This year has been turbulent so far as far as health is concerned but I am grateful to my family and friends that took care of me. Back to Aai, Pappa and fur babies. Back to where I belong. Recovery mode on."
Gautam has written for shows like Pyaar Ko Kya Nam Doon, Madhubala, Saath Nibhana Saathiya, Swaragini, Tu Aashiqui, Chhoti Sardarni, and Chaand Jane Lagaa, among others.
