Ex-Indian opener Navjot Singh Sidhu was excited seeing at Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni's doppelganger at the Arun Jaitley Stadium during the IPL 2025 game against the Rajasthan Royals on Tuesday. Speaking on air, Sidhu said he has hardly seen such a resemblance before, expressing his surprise.
Despite his waning abilities with the bat and retiring from international cricket five years ago, the 43-year-old keeper-batter continues to draw crowds at the stadium. The Ranchi-born cricketer is the joint-most successful captain in IPL history winning five titles for the Super Kings, along with Rohit Sharma, who accomplished the feat for the Mumbai Indians.
In a video uploaded by Star Sports, Sidhu said:
"Bhaiya Dhoni ka judwa bhai. Mele mein gum ho gaya tha. Kya baat kar rahe ho yaar. Yeh toh bilkul same hai. Kamaal hai yaar. Itni shakal milti hui toh dekhi nahin hai maine. Behrupiya hai guru, behrupiya. FIR likhaao."
(There's a twin of MS Dhoni. He got lost somewhere. It's the same. I haven't seen such resemblance before.)

Although the game on Tuesday was an inconsequential one in terms of playoffs qualification, both sides were aiming to win and exit the tournament with pride. In the end, it was the Royals, who managed to win the match with six wickets and 17 balls to spare.
Although the Super Kings made a competitive 187, Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored a half-century, while Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson and Dhruv Jurel chipped in with cameos.
