Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Former MP Pragya Thakur, known for courting controversies, has begun to get political recognition after her acquittal of all charges in the Malegaon blast case.
The BJP leaders kept away from Pragya after she was denied a ticket for the Lok Sabha election from Bhopal in 2024. She did not participate in any function organised by the BJP. Nor did any BJP leader visit her residence.
Although she was not a member of the Lok Sabha, the government did not ask her to vacate the government bungalow. After Pragya’s acquittal, former chief minister Uma Bharti met her at the former MP’s residence on Wednesday.

The Bihar assembly election will be held by the year-end, and afterwards, there will be assembly election in West Bengal. Immediately after these two elections, the UP assembly polls will be held.
After her acquittal from the Malegaon case, the theory of Hindu terrorism has become meaningless. Now, the BJP may use her for electioneering to attack the Congress.
