AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi confronted Pakistan’s repeated claims that it speaks for all Muslims, firmly asserting that India is home to 240 million proud Muslims. Speaking in Saudi Arabia, Asaduddin Owaisi condemned Pakistan’s support for terrorism and its efforts to spread false narratives about Indian Muslims. His statements come amid a multi-party Indian delegation’s visit to Gulf countries aimed at countering misinformation and showcasing India’s strong anti-terrorism stance.
Asaduddin Owaisi Rejects Pakistan’s False Propaganda
Asaduddin Owaisi emphasized that Pakistan’s portrayal of itself as the sole representative of Muslims is misleading and harmful. He stressed that India’s vast Muslim population is vibrant and proud, contradicting Pakistan’s false narrative that India mistreats its Muslims. “There are 240 million proud Indian Muslims living in India. This false propaganda from Pakistan is both unfortunate and misleading to the Arab and Muslim worlds,” Asaduddin Owaisi said. He criticized Pakistan for spreading incorrect messages to the international Muslim community, asserting that Pakistan wrongly claims to be the only Muslim nation while portraying India negatively.
He also urged Pakistan to dismantle extremist groups operating within its borders. “If Pakistan stops supporting takfiri terrorist groups, South Asia would see peace and stability, which would lead to progress across the region,” Asaduddin Owaisi added, highlighting the direct link between Pakistan’s terrorism policies and regional instability.
Exposing Pakistan’s Links to Terrorism
Further revealing Pakistan’s involvement in supporting terrorism, Asaduddin Owaisi showed a photograph of Pakistan’s army chief sitting beside Mohammad Ehsan, a US-designated terrorist. He pointed out that when Asim Munir was promoted to Field Marshal, the terrorist was visibly present, exposing Pakistan’s complicity in harboring terror elements. Asaduddin Owaisi warned that Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to train terror groups and incite communal tensions in India aim to destabilize the country by provoking Hindu-Muslim riots.
The Indian delegation, led by BJP MP Baijayant Panda and including MPs from various parties like Nishikant Dubey, Phangnon Konyak, Rekha Sharma, AIMIM’s Asaduddin Owaisi, independent MP Ghulam Nabi Azad, and others, is touring Gulf countries to highlight India’s counter-terrorism efforts. The delegation also aims to counter the misinformation following the terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22 and to reinforce India’s commitment to fighting terrorism while safeguarding its pluralistic society.
Asaduddin Owaisi’s intervention in Saudi Arabia reflects India’s proactive diplomatic efforts to challenge Pakistan’s misleading narratives and assert the strength and pride of its diverse Muslim community on an international platform.
