Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat Could Be The Star Making Turn For Harshvardhan Rane; Here's How

The Diwali 2025 will see two major Hindi movies releasing at the box office. These include the likes of Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Thamma and Harshvardhan Rane’s Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat.

Harshvardhan Rane has been around for over a decade in Hindi films and around 18 years as an actor. However, it is only in 2025 that he got his first major box office success.

Now, he is returning to the big screen with his first Diwali release, an intense romantic musical.

Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat Could Make Harshvardhan Rane A Legit Box Office Star

Harshvardhan Rane made his debut with the hit TV show Left Right Left (2007-08)and then transitioned to the big screen.

However, his journey was a bit different. Rane made his big screen debut with a Telugu film titled Thakita Thakita (2010) and followed it up with other Telugu releases like Naa Ishtam (2012) and Avunu (2012) among others.

Harshvardhan featured in a total of 10 Telugu films from 2010 to 2015 and in 2016, he finally made his debut in Hindi cinema as a leading man with Sanam Teri Kasam.

The romantic music drama bombed at the box office despite acclaim and chartbuster songs.

In the last decade since his debut Hindi movie, Harshvardhan Rane starred in a number of Hindi movies but couldn’t find success at the box office despite his performance getting acclaim.

But, it all changed in 2025 when his debut Hindi movie Sanam Teri Kasam re-released in theatres and became the biggest re-release hit of the last three decades or so earning over Rs 50 crore in addition to Rs 9 crore approx it made during its original run.

Right on the heels of Sanam Teri Kasam, Harshvardhan Rane is now coming to big screen with Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat and similar to his debut film, this too is generating good buzz among the audiences and is expected to open in double digits at the box office despite a clash with Thamma.

Considering Sanam Teri Kasam worked well in B and C centers upon its re-release, Harshvardhan Rane has gotten a good visibility among the youth of tier 2 and 3 cities and if Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat clicks, the actor who had been struggling for over a decade could finally become a bona fide box office star.

If that happens, he will be the only new-age Hindi film actor to have a fan following in mass centers and that is a big plus for longevity in the business of cinema.

Interestingly, Harshvardhan’s next two movies after Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat too are in the same zone of intense romance. These are Silaa and Sanam Teri Kasam 2.

Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat could be the star making turn for Harshvardhan Rane and he may find the much-deserved success as a box office star that has been eluding him for years.
