Ramsdale marked his third relegation to the Championship – with a third different club – with a post on Instagram last month. He wrote: ".
"This is a special club with amazing fans - . You deserve better. This club has come back from adversity on many occasions and this time will be no different.
"Still a lot of football to be played and we will keep trying to . Thank you for sticking with us."
Then, when quizzed on his future by , Ramsdale said: "We've still got eight games left and, as I said, it's about finishing the season respectfully. Whatever will be, will be.
"I could be here, I could be abroad, I could be on a different team. I'm 26, I want to play football, and if that means moving or staying to fulfil my dreams, then that would be it.
"This summer, I might get sold, or I might still be here. This season was all about playing. Ultimately, there wasn't a plethora of clubs at the time [last summer] to have my pick from.
"I may find the club where I stay for 10 or 12 years, or I might have to dot around or knuckle down or go abroad..."
Ramsdale, who hasn't posted on Instagram since, faces an uncertain future on the south coast, with Southampton lining up a replacement. According to The Sun, the former Arsenal goalkeeper is expected to leave St. Mary's either permanently or on loan.
The report claims that the Saints are interested in signing Anthony Patterson from Sunderland. The Sun adds that Southampton could make an offer for the 24-year-old if the Black Cats fail to secure promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs.
It's said that Tottenham have previously been keen on Patterson, watching him when they were in the market for a new goalkeeper in January. Instead, the Lilywhites signed Antonín Kinský from Slavia Prague.
